Members of the public can report cyber crime and fraud at www.reportfraud.police.uk or by calling 0300 123 2040, with the launch last year of Report Fraud to replace Action Fraud.
According to their research, in 2024, losses from pension fraud totalled £17.5 million, with an average loss of approximately £34,000 per person. These scams can severely affect victims’ financial security and retirement plans because it is very hard to replace savings built up over many years later in life.
