Talking to a pensions adviser before taking your benefits from the Fund is always a good idea – but how do you know they’re a safe bet and not out to scam you?
To support members in making informed decisions about their retirement, Roche has appointed a firm of financial advisers called Origen Financial Services Limited to provide you with advice on your retirement journey. Origen is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, so you can be confident that their advice will be focused on your best interests. They’re completely independent from the Company and the Trustee, but their advisers have been specifically trained on the benefits of the Fund and how it works.
If you haven’t yet started to draw a pension from the Fund, you are entitled to receive one fully subsidised session of impartial financial advice from Origen as long as you’re a UK resident, not yet in receipt of your pension and aged 55 or over. In the past, Fund members have found it helpful to speak to Origen to understand more detail about the range of options available and what these mean for their retirement.
This service is available to all deferred DB Section members, regardless of whether you still work for the Company or not. Even if you have your own independent financial adviser, you may still find it beneficial to receive advice from Origen.
